Flooring & custom rug services

Carpet standard: Installation of Carpet and Cushion (if necessary). Installation of tack strip ( if necessary)

Additional services upon request: Move furniture, remove and dispose of flooring, re caulk baseboards, remove and reinstall closet doors, remove and reinstall toilets.

Laminate standard: Removal of baseboards and trims, secure subfloor and prepare floor. Installation of cushion / underlayment and installation of laminate flooring, install trims if needed.

Hardwood standard: removal of baseboards and trims, secure subfloor and prepare floor. Installation of hardwood and trims if necessary.

Tile standard: Installation of backer board ( if necessary), tile and grout installed. We use premium mortars and grouts ( found here). Installation of trims( if necessary).

Vinyl standard: Installation of proper underlayment (if necessary) and installation of vinyl/linoleum purchased.

We have the unique ability to design and fabricate on site custom rugs to fit any needs. We also service designer, hospitality and commercial clients by offering tapestry borders, carpet cove base, high volume binding, fringe, and event runners or rugs.

Oasis Floors carries a wide array of green flooring options. We have an ever-expanding selection of options – from natural fiber carpet, tile, natural stone, recycled or reclaimed wood to LEED certified commercial carpet.

Design services

Oasis Floors offers you the services of experienced sales staff members who can walk you through the floor-buying process from start to finish. We offer free estimates and consultations. Once you choose your new flooring, our team of professional installers will be there to serve you at your convenience.

Flooring restoration

Oasis Floors can also help when you want to preserve. Hardwood refinishing, carpet cleaning, area rug repair, grout repair – no job is too big or too small.

Wood floors installation

A new installation can take from 1 to 5 days (about 1 day for 200 square feet, an average-sized room)

There are many product choices available for new floor installations, from traditional wood types and board dimensions to numerous pre-finished and "engineered" flooring products. While there are products available in a wide price range, budget may be just one determinant in choosing a flooring material. Relative durability, design
considerations, and sub floor type may also be important factors. We encourage you to make an appointment to visit our showroom to look at samples and speak with an estimator about the specifics of your new floor installation.

Refinishing existing floors

For customers who have a specific color scheme in mind, Oasis Floors can stain oak floors to almost any color. (Staining fir or maple floors is not recommended -- ask one of our estimators for more information.) Brown-tone stains are most common, add cost and require three days of dry time. Pastel, white or "designer" stains also require three days of dry time and are more expensive than brown tone stains.

Oasis Floors has extensive experience matching stains to existing wood, but this is not an exact science, and that Oasis Floors disclaims liability for slight imperfections in match. Whenever possible, we will show our customers stain samples on their floor during the finishing process so customers can see their chosen stain on the existing floor. Careful selection is important; stains cannot be lightened or darkened once it has been applied, and re-sanding to re-stain the floor cannot be performed without an added charge.

For customers that do not have a specific color in mind, it is recommended to forego the added time and cost of staining. Please speak with our sales staff if you have any other questions regarding staining.

Flooring installation

We use the best installers in the business. Here are a few tips to make sure your flooring installation goes as smoothly as possible:

• Determine who will be responsible for moving the furniture.
• Ask about the disposal of your existing flooring.
• Make sure seams are installed in less visible areas.
• Provide an adequate supply of fresh air during the installation.
